In the amusing documentary DISCONNECTED, three college students — Andrew, Caitlin, and Chel — take on the unique challenge of giving up their computers for one month to see how their lives will be affected.
This means no Facebook, no YouTube and no e-mail. And that's just for starters.
Having never lived in a time without computers, these three intrepid explorers must now navigate through a world where academic assignments, work related tasks and, most scary of all, social interactions must be approached without the aid of hard drives, memory chips or software.
How will they get their work done? Will they cheat? And who will survive the longest?
From mastering the intricacies of a typewriter to re-discovering the simple pleasures of a face-to-face conversation, DISCONNECTED follows the students through all of the ups and downs of their "digital detox."
